Web to Design — turn any URL into an editable design
The fastest way from idea to prototype
We've been using this internally a ton. Paste any URL into MagicPath and instantly get an editable version of that page. From there you can create new variants, build different pages, or extract individual components — all inspired by the original design.
No screenshots, no manual recreation. Just paste and start designing.
How it works
Paste a URL
Copy the URL of any website or page you want to work with and paste it into the MagicPath chat. The AI will fetch the page and convert it into a fully editable design.
Edit and iterate
Once imported, the design is yours. Edit it visually, use AI chat to make changes, swap out content, adjust layouts — everything is fully editable just like any other MagicPath component.
Create something new
Use the imported design as a starting point. Generate variants, build out additional pages, or extract specific sections to use as components in your own projects.
Example use cases
Redesign a competitor
Paste a competitor's landing page and instantly start exploring alternative layouts, color schemes, and messaging — without building from scratch.
Prototype from inspiration
Found a site with a beautiful hero section or pricing page? Import it, then rework it with your own brand, content, and style in minutes.
Iterate on your own product
Paste your live product URL and explore design variations. Test new layouts, navigation patterns, or visual styles on top of your real UI.
Build a component library
Import sections from multiple sites — navbars, footers, feature grids, testimonials — and remix them into reusable components for your design system.
What makes this different from Web Capture?
- •Web Capture uses the Chrome extension to grab specific elements from any page — great for precision extraction.
- •Web to Design takes a full URL and converts the entire page into an editable design — ideal for full-page imports and rapid prototyping.
Both are powerful and complement each other. Use Web Capture for surgical element extraction and Web to Design when you want to import and rework an entire page.
💡 Tip: Combine Web to Design with to quickly explore multiple design directions from a single imported page.
